2010 Goals and Objectives

 

1.  Participate in the Matthew 28 Initiative pending approval by the Bishop and Cabinet.

     - Vigorous Self Study Process and Leadership Training

     - Participate in Consultation Weekend

     - Embrace and Carry Out Prescriptions

     - Shift our focus from inward to outward

 

2.  Increase involvement in Community Outreach

     - Hold at least eight outreach events in 2010

     - Target the un-churched and/or marginalized of the county

     - Events should benefit those who are not yet a part of our congregation

     - Intentional Layering for Newcomer Assimilation

 

3.  Become More Mission Minded

     - Increase the number of people serving on the mission committee

     - Host at least one mission trip for adults

     - Intentional Mission Moments in Worship once a month

 

4.  Growth in Christian Education and Discipleship

     - Increase number in Sunday School and Small Groups by 20%

               From 39 to 47 in Sunday School

               From 72 to 86 in Small Groups/Studies

     - Implement a process for maturing in discipleship

     - Train more small group leaders and teachers

 

5.  Make Decisions Regarding a Building Project

     - Acceptance or Rejection of Building Committee Plans

     - Begin Capital Campaign (pending approval)

     -Create Ministry Plans for Utilization of New Space and how a Family Life Center could be used to make disciples (pending approval)
